What is a cluster token and where do I get one?
Klei requires a free token to host an online server. Log in at accounts.klei.com with the Steam account that owns the game, add a server under Game Servers for Don't Starve Together, and paste the token into the panel's Cluster Token setting.
How much RAM does a Don't Starve Together server need?
1 GB runs a fresh overworld server comfortably. Long-lived worlds with many in-game days benefit from 2 GB.
Does the server include caves?
Not yet. The server runs the overworld shard; caves need a second linked server process and are on our roadmap. Everything above ground plays exactly like the normal game.
Do my friends need the game?
Yes, every player needs Don't Starve Together on Steam. They can find your server by name in the in-game browser or join with the password you set.
Does the world save when the server stops?
