What your players see

Website builders hand you a page that is right on the day you write it. This one is wired to the server, so the parts that change keep changing on their own.

The live world map

A top-down render of your world, one pixel per block, made from the world files on the node. Visitors can pan, zoom and download it. The section shows up once you turn map sharing on in the server's Map tab.

  • Nothing to install on the server
  • The same map you use in the panel
  • One switch takes it off the page again

The playtime leaderboard

Your top 10 players by hours on the server, counted from the joins and leaves the panel already tracks. The list writes itself and stays current.

  • Hours come from the server, not a form
  • New players appear on their own
  • Off in one switch if you would rather not rank people

Join info that is always right

Live status, the player count and your join address with a copy button, so somebody who lands on the page can be in the game seconds later. Show the names of who is playing, or keep it to the number.

  • Status and count read from the server
  • One tap copies the address
  • Links through to your join page, where friends can chip in

Video and stream embeds

Paste a YouTube link or your Twitch channel and it plays on the page. Use it for a trailer, a build timelapse, or whatever is live right now.

  • YouTube videos
  • Twitch channels and past broadcasts
  • Paste the URL, we work out the rest

From a switch to your own domain

  1. 1

Fill it in and preview it free

Open the server's Community website settings, pick your address, write the tagline, the story and the rules, and switch on the sections you want. A private preview link opens the finished page before you have paid for anything.

  2. 2

    Publish it

Add the Community Website add-on at $3 a month and turn the site on. It goes live at join.fadehost.net/your-name and keeps itself up to date from the server.

  3. 3

Put it on your own domain

Add one CNAME record at your DNS provider and your domain serves the site, with the certificate handled for you. On Cloudflare, paste a scoped token instead and we create the record; it is used once and never stored.

The one record your domain needs

Create it at whatever DNS provider your domain uses, then the site answers on your address.

Type CNAME
Name play.example.com
Value join.fadehost.net

On Cloudflare you can skip the record: the panel opens a pre-filled, DNS-only token page, you paste the token, and we create it. A custom domain needs a paid subscription, and an account can connect up to three.

Everything the page does

All of it is set in the server's Community website settings, and all of it can be switched off.

Live world map

Your world rendered top down, shared on the page once map sharing is on. Visitors pan, zoom and download it.

Playtime leaderboard

The top 10 by hours played, counted from real joins and leaves. No plugin, no setup, no upkeep.

Live status and players

Online or offline, how many are playing, and their names when you want them shown.

Join address with a copy button

The exact address a player needs, one tap from the page into Add Server.

Rules and your story

A tagline, a description and a rules list, all typed into the panel. No HTML, no page builder.

YouTube and Twitch embeds

A video, a past broadcast or a live channel, playing on the page. Paste the URL and it is embedded.

Your Discord and your links

Your Discord invite and your own link on the page, plus a way back to your join page.

Your own domain

One CNAME and play.yourdomain.com serves the site with a certificate. On Cloudflare we can create the record for you.

A switch for every section

The map, the leaderboard and the player names each turn on and off on their own.

It looks like Minecraft

Pixel font, chunky borders and your server icon at the top. It reads like the game, not like a website template.

Free preview before you publish

Build the whole page and open it at a private preview link. Publishing is the part that costs money.

Open to search engines

A normal public page that can be indexed. On your own domain the canonical link points there, so the search traffic is yours.

Pricing

One add-on per site, on the same subscription as the server it belongs to.

Community Website

$3/mo

or $30 a year, which is ten months for twelve

Build yours free

Building the page and opening it at a private preview link costs nothing. The add-on is what publishes it.

What is included

  • Every section above on one page: map, leaderboard, status, join info, rules, embeds and links
  • Your own domain with the certificate handled for you
  • A page that reads its facts from the server, with nothing installed on it
  • One site per server, on the same subscription and the same bill

What a typical setup costs

A server and its website

Server slot with 1 GB at $2.50, website at $3

$5.50/mo

Extra RAM is $1 per GB a month if the server needs more than 1 GB.

A Lite server and its website

Lite server at $2, website at $3

$5/mo

The website costs the same on either one, and you can build it before you pay for it.

Questions

Do I need to know how to build websites?
No. You fill in a form in the control panel: the address, a tagline, your story, the rules, your links and which sections to show. The page builds itself, and the live parts (the map, the leaderboard, the status and the player list) come from the server.
Does it work with any Minecraft server?
It is for Minecraft Java servers hosted on FadeHost. The map, the leaderboard and the live status all come from the server on our side, which is why there is nothing to install for any of it.
Do I need a plugin or a mod?
No. Status and the player list come from the server, the hours come from the playtime the panel already tracks, and the map is rendered from the world files on the node.
What shows on the page?
Your server name and icon, live status and player count, the join address with a copy button, the world map, the playtime leaderboard, your tagline, story and rules, a YouTube video or Twitch stream, and your Discord and website links. Every section has its own switch.
Can I turn sections off?
Yes, each one on its own. The map, the leaderboard and the player names all have their own switch, and the map only appears once you have turned map sharing on in the server's Map tab.
What address does the site get?
join.fadehost.net/your-name. You pick the name: 3 to 32 characters, lowercase letters, numbers and dashes, and unique across FadeHost. Your own domain can sit in front of it.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Add one CNAME record pointing at join.fadehost.net at any DNS provider and your domain serves the site, with the certificate handled for you. If your DNS is on Cloudflare you can paste a scoped API token instead and we create the record; the token is used once and never stored. Custom domains need a paid subscription, and an account can connect up to three.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. You can build the whole page and open it at a private preview link for free. The preview link expires 60 minutes after your last visit to the website settings, and search engines are told to leave it alone. Publishing the page is what needs the $3 a month add-on.
What does it cost?
The Community Website add-on is $3 a month, or $30 a year, which is ten months for twelve. That covers one site. Building and previewing the page costs nothing.
How quickly do my edits show up?
Within a minute. The public page is cached for up to 60 seconds, so what you save in the panel is on the next load after that.
Can I take the site down again?
Yes. Turn it off and the public address stops answering. Your settings stay exactly as they were, so turning it back on puts the same page back.
Will search engines index it?
Yes. It is a normal public page, open to indexing. If you connect your own domain, the canonical link points at your domain so the search traffic is yours. Preview links are the exception: those are marked not to be indexed.
Can visitors support the server from the page?
The page links to your join page, where friends can chip in toward the server. What they send becomes credit on your next invoice.
