Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server requirements
What the server needs before you pick a size. 2 GB of RAM is the minimum.

- 2 GB minimum. Every extra gigabyte is $1 a month and can be added or removed later without a reinstall.
- CPU
- Light: the Bedrock server is native code and uses little CPU per player. View distance is the main knob.
- Disk
- Worlds are small; a long-running world reaches a few GB. 30 GB included.
- Ports
- One UDP port, assigned for you.
- Mods and plugins
- Behavior and resource packs in the worlds folder; no plugin ecosystem like Java's. Addons install like on a single-player world.
- Your existing world
- Upload a Bedrock world (the folder with level.dat and db) into worlds; single-player and Realms exports work.
How to make a Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server
Bedrock servers let friends on phones, tablets, consoles and Windows all play together. Setup on FadeHost is a two-minute job.

Create your server
Start the free 7-day trial (no credit card) or pick a plan. 2 GB is plenty for a friends server. Then hit Create Server in the panel, choose Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and your region, and the server installs itself. Your server's address and port appear on the server page as soon as it's up.

Configure the basics
Set the server name, game mode, difficulty and max players from the Settings tab. World files are yours: upload an existing world through the file manager if you have one.

Join from mobile or PC
In Minecraft go to Play → Servers → Add Server and enter the address and port from your server page. On Windows, iOS and Android this works out of the box.

Xbox, PlayStation and Switch don't show custom servers natively, so players there use the well-known BedrockConnect / DNS method to reach custom servers. PC and mobile friends can join directly meanwhile.

Regions and latency
Pick Europe or North America when you create the server. North America has nodes on the east coast and the west coast, Europe in the west, all on NVMe storage with DDoS protection in front. Players on the same continent as the server see 20 to 60 ms, which Minecraft: Bedrock Edition handles well; a group split across the Atlantic should host where most of them are. Changing region later is a backup, a new server in the other region, and a restore.
