What the status page does
Up, asleep or starting
Each server says Online, Sleeping, Starting or Offline. A sleeping one adds Wakes up when someone joins, so nobody reports it as down.
Who is on
The player count against your slots, with up to five names, and the software the server runs.
The address to join
Your own domain once it is verified, or the server's address, with a port only when it is not the default.
Easy on everything
It asks the FadeHost API every 20 seconds and keeps the last good answer, so a crowd of visitors makes one request and a hiccup shows what it last knew instead of a blank page.
Set it up
- 1
Deploy it
Press Deploy free and pick the Server status page template.
- 2
Pick the servers
One, or leave it empty for every server on the account, and the heading at the top. A read-only FadeHost access token is created for the page.
- 3
Share the link
The web address is on from the first boot, so the page answers at
https://name.fadehost.app. Point your own domain at it from the app's settings if you like.
Routes
- /
- The status page.
- /api/status
- The same thing as JSON, to build your own front end.
- /health
- { ok, servers, updatedAt } for an uptime check.
Environment variables
They live in the table on the app's page in the panel, values masked once saved. Set for you means the panel fills it in when you deploy.
| Variable | Needed | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| FADEHOST_TOKEN | Set for you | An access token with the read scope, created when you deploy. |
| SERVER_IDS | Optional | Which servers, as server_ ids separated by commas. Empty shows them all. |
| TITLE | Optional | The heading. Server status unless you set one. |
| PORT | Set for you | The port the page listens on. |
Which plan it needs
The free plan runs it. Its address sleeps when nobody has opened the page for a while, 5 minutes to 12 hours as you choose, and the next visitor waits a few seconds while it wakes.

Frequently asked questions
Can visitors see my token?
No. The token stays in the app's environment and the page only shows what the app has already fetched. It has the read scope, so it could not start or stop anything either.
Which games does it show?
Every game server on your FadeHost account, or the ones you pick. Player names come from join tracking, which covers Minecraft Java servers today; other games show the count.
Can it use my own domain?
Yes. Add it under the app's web address settings and set one CNAME at your DNS provider. The certificate is issued on its own.
Can I change how it looks?
Fork the repository: the page is one file of HTML and CSS, lib/page.js. Deploy your fork and every push redeploys it.
