Your game server's status, live in Discord

What the server status bot does
The player count in its status
Watching 3 players on Emberfell, refreshed every minute, so the member list says whether anyone is on before you open the game.
Answers for everyone
/status shows whether the server is up and how many are on, /players who is online, /ip the address to join. A sleeping server says it wakes up when someone joins.
Start and stop from Discord
/start, /stop and /restart for members with Manage Server. The world is saved before the server stops.
A token made for it
Deploying it from the panel creates a FadeHost access token for this bot alone, listed under Profile, AI Access, where one click revokes it.

Deploy it

- 4
Try it
Run
/statusin any channel the bot can see.

Environment variables
They live in the table on the bot's page in the panel, values masked once saved. The template's form asks for the ones it needs when you deploy.
| Variable | Needed | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| DISCORD_TOKEN | Required | Your bot token. |
| FADEHOST_TOKEN | Set for you | An access token with the manage scope, created when you deploy from the panel. Anywhere else, make one under Profile, AI Access. |
| SERVER_ID | Optional | Which server, as its server_ id. The panel fills it from the server you pick; without it the bot reports on the first one. |
Which plan it needs
The free plan runs it, always on. It asks the FadeHost API about one server once a minute, which is next to nothing.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with a server hosted somewhere else?
No. It reads the server through the FadeHost API, so the server has to be on your FadeHost account. Any game works, not only Minecraft.
Who can start and stop the server?
Members with Manage Server. Discord hides /start, /stop and /restart from everyone else, and you can change who sees them under Server Settings, Integrations.
Where does the FadeHost token live?
In the bot's environment variables, masked in the panel, and never in Discord. It is listed under Profile, AI Access, where one click revokes it.
Is the server status bot free?
Yes. It runs on the free plan, always on, with no card. One bot or app is free per person; a second one needs a paid plan, from $2 a month for one or $3 for two.
