These files live in the server root next to server.properties. Need entries for a whole list of players? Use the whitelist and ban generator.

_CorruptedGamer_’s Minecraft UUID

_CorruptedGamer_’s permanent Minecraft UUID is ab8bb36e-b806-480e-ad61-ce4045cde853 (or ab8bb36eb806480ead61ce4045cde853 trimmed). Because usernames can change but the UUID never does, servers tie whitelist, ban, op and permission entries to this ID, so they keep working even if _CorruptedGamer_ renames. The block above also shows it as the NBT int array used by /data and data packs since 1.16, as the UUIDMost/UUIDLeast longs older worlds use, and the offline-mode UUID an online-mode=false server would generate for this name.

Whitelist, op or ban _CorruptedGamer_

Copy a command from the admin block and run it in the server console (without the slash) or in chat as an operator. Whitelist, op and ban work while _CorruptedGamer_ is offline; kick needs them online. If the server is stopped, paste the whitelist.json, ops.json or banned-players.json entry into the matching file next to server.properties instead.

Why is name history not shown?

Mojang removed the public name-history API in September 2022, so no tool can reliably show a player’s past usernames anymore. Only the current name resolves.
