- For Vanilla or plugin-based servers with up to 20 players, start with 2GB (1 server + 1 extra RAM). For modpacks, we recommend at least 4-5GB. Heavy modpacks like All The Mods or larger player counts benefit from 8GB+. Add more RAM anytime with no downtime.
